the second scroll: the mesorah snapshot, pinned and read (bishe'arecha step 6)
Devarim 17:18 — the king writes his copy from before the priests, not from
memory. scripts/build_mesorah.py takes one open-licence version per work
per language from the Sefaria export (bucket sefaria-export, catalogue of
2026-10-02; Public Domain / CC0 / CC-BY / CC-BY-SA only, checked in every
file; no CC-BY-NC — the Bavli is Wikisource's) and lays it down beside
L1: mesorah/works/<slug>/{he,en}.json, index.json, integrity.sha256,
build_report.json. 128 works (Rashi, Onkelos, Ramban, Ibn Ezra, Sforno
on the Torah; all of Mishnah; 37 Bavli tractates; Bereshit and Shemot
Rabbah, Sifrei, Tanchuma), 256 files, 44.9 MiB, tree hash 7d5b3a6c…
computed as L1's (sorted relative path, then bytes; the two post-hash
files excluded). What is out, and why (licence), is in Terumah §E5.
Read, never fetched: korban_processor/mesorah.py finds citations as
written (Rashi on Devarim 6:5, Berakhot 2a, Mishnah Berakhot 1:1,
Bereshit Rabbah 1:1, Sifrei Devarim 32, Tanchuma Bereshit 1 …), resolves
each against the snapshot (complex works through their unnamed node,
Tanchuma by parashah), lists them as examination.mesorah_references, and
makes every passage found a given source for that examination — so a
claim about Rashi anchors in Rashi or does not. The Vav Pipeline couples
coupled(reference(R), mesorah(Work, [Address])) or not_in_mesorah; the
engine accepts mesorah/2 as a terminal and not_in_mesorah is Form 4.
VavPipeline.Mesorah pins the hash, re-reads the tree at startup and every
ten minutes, and /kodesh/health carries mesorah_hash. Mounted read-only at
/mnt/mesorah in the vav-pipeline and korban-processor images. L3

Also: the 1-in-12 Day6 serving failure of 2026-10-04 reproduced with seed

and the Day6 setup is defensive. Construction §3.11, Terumah §E5, Tamid
§1.1, bishearecha §IV, KOHEN, AGENTS. Doorpost 0638d4eb…. Elixir 604/0

Always from inside the cloud, as on Mt. Sinai, as it says (Exod. 24:16), \"On the seventh day He called Moshe from the midst of the cloud,\" for he could never enter there without permission. ","(2) FROM THE TENT OF MEETING. For Moshe did not enter the Tent of Meeting while the Glory was still there. This was on the day when Moshe finished erecting the Mishkan, for it was then that the Glory descended to sanctify the place and its attendants as it says (Exod. 29:43-44), \"and there I will meet with the Israelites, and it shall be sanctified by My Presence. I will sanctify the Tent of Meeting and the altar, and Aaron and his sons ....\" He did the same thing with Shlomo's Temple, as it says (I Kings 8:11), \"the priests were not able to remain and perform the service because of the cloud, for the Presence of Adonai filled the House of Adonai.\" And in this way, He sanctified the place, as it says (I Kings 9:3), \"I consecrate this House that you have built.\" However, from the first day on, Moshe entered the Tent of Meeting outside the curtain, as it says (Num. 7:89), \"When Moshe went into the Tent of Meeting to speak with Him, he would hear the Voice addressing him from above the [Ark] cover ....\""],["(1) A PERSON WHEN HE OFFERS, FROM AMONG YOU [JPS: WHEN ANY OF YOU PRESENTS AN OFFERING]. When he offers from yourselves, through verbal confession and humbling, as with (Hos. 14:3), \"Instead of bulls we will pay [The offering of] our lips,\" and as it says (Ps. 51:19), \"True sacrifice to God is a contrite spirit.\" For there is no need for fools who sacrifice without first having humbled themselves. And the Sages have already said, \"from among you and not all of you, to exclude the apostate. ","(2) FROM THE BEASTS. If he offers from the beasts, it should only be from the herd or from the flock, and not any wild animal, even if it is within the category of beast, as it says (Deut. 14:4-5), \"These are the animals that you may eat: ... the deer, the gazelle, ....\" The intent in these sections is to specify the categories who bring sacrifices, the categories of things sacrificed, the categories of sacrifices, and the reasons for sacrificing. It specifies that voluntary sacrifices are accepted from any person, even from the nations, as it clarifies later on, in saying (Lev. 22:25), \"nor shall you accept such [animals] from a foreigner for offering as food for your God, for they are mutilated, they have a defect.\" And after all, apostates are lower than Gentiles, in particular, apostates to idolatry and to public desecration of Shabbat. And it specifies that the kinds of animals that are sacrificed are the herd and the flock among the beasts, turtle doves and pigeons among the birds, and fine flour, oil, and frankincense. And it specifies that the kinds of sacrifices are the burnt offering, the sacrifice of well-being, and the flour offering. all of which are sometimes voluntary, and the sin offering and the guilt offering, which are always obligatory. And from this there is clarification of the matter of Kayin -- its saying (Gen. 4:5). \"but to Kayin and his offering He paid no attention,\" for he [Kayin] was among the group of sectarians, from whom we do not accept sacrifices, as the end of the story clarifies the beginning, for his offering was of a species that is inappropriate for sacrifice. Similarly with Noah, when it says (Gen. 8:21), \"Adonai smelled the pleasing odor,\" it says that He accepted the portion of his sacrifices that would make a pleasing odor, it being from a species that was appropriate for sacrifice. But He did not accept all of his offering, because it included all pure species and all pure birds. And there can also be understood from this what is said (Ps. 40:7), \"You gave me to understand that You do not desire sacrifice and grain offering,\" and also what is said (Isa. 1:11), \"What need have I of all your sacrifices?,\" and many such statements in Holy Scriptures. For it is indeed appropriate that the one who brings the sacrifice be one who is fit to bring, that he choose a species that is appropriate to offer and that is calculated to achieve the result for purposes of which he brought the sacrifice, and that he should lay his hands on the sacrifice as does a supplicant, and pray that his sin rest on the head of the sacrifice, as with the scapegoat. And in this way he will to some extent turn the thought of repentance that is in his mind into the actual practice of humility: \"that it may be acceptable on his behalf, in expiation for him\" (v.4). Since some of the sins are in thought alone and some are also in deed, what is appropriate to atone for the mental component is that portion that ascends in fire on the altar, those being the burLine truncated
